Description
O-rings are solid rubber seals shaped like doughnuts. When compressed between two surfaces, they block liquids and gases. O-rings can create static or dynamic seals. Static seals remain still to contain pressure or maintain a vacuum. Dynamic seals can be reciprocating, like a piston in a cylinder, or rotating, such as a shaft in a housing.
Sealmech offers O-rings in various materials and durometers, ranging from 25 to 90 on the Shore A hardness scale. We provide standard materials as well as specialty grades, including medical-grade class VI O-rings, NSF, FDA, and 3A sanitary grades.
